The
Caribbean Aviation Training Center is a modern flight training academy
located at the Tinson Pen Aerodrome in the capital city of Kingston,
Jamaica. Kingston enjoys warm weather all year round with an average
temperature of 86°F/32°C. The rainy months are May, June,
October, and November with an average rainfall of 32 inches/810
mm per year. Jamaica is the most beautiful island in the Caribbean
and its scenery from the air is breathtaking.

The
island has two international airports located in the two major cities
of Kingston and Montego Bay. The Norman
Manley Airport in Kingston is approximately three minutes flight
time from CATC, and provides an excellent training environment for
instrument training and pilots seeking a career in commercial aviation.
The
Tinson Pen aerodrome is the largest aerodrome on the island with
a usable runway length of over 4,000 feet (1,219 metres). The runway
can accommodate aircraft as large as the Astra SPX, and also offers
Airport Traffic Advisory Services from 0600 to 1900 hours local
daily with runway lighting available upon request.
